Softray Solutions is proud to have more than 40 % ladies in the team. To celebrate this year’s Girls in ICT Day, we decided to have a chat with some of them, with the aim of inspiring other girls to join the IT world.
We asked them what are the biggest benefits of working in ICT and what motivates them to continue their professional development?
“The biggest advantage of working in the software industry is the dynamic work environment, the opportunity to learn new technologies, work on various issues and projects, as well as teamwork. This industry always offers opportunities to push personal boundaries and opportunities”, Berina Muhovic — Software Developer at Softray Solutions.
“If there is one thing that is certain about the IT industry, it is that it is constantly developing and progressing, therefore it offers more possibilities for learning and perfecting skills than any other. This is one of my biggest motivators for constant professional growth,” Djulsa Musinovic — Software Developer at Softray Solutions.
“The IT world is changing day by day and it is impossible to know everything at one point. Your workplace is any place where you can put down your laptop and where you have internet access. This job is very dynamic, even though when you imagine a person working on a computer all day it doesn’t seem like it. However, teamwork is what makes it such, and I would also cited this as another benefit of working in IT”, Raisa Seferagic — Software Developer at Softray Solutions.
“Being in the IT world is never boring. No matter how much I learn, there is always something new that interests me and something new to overcome. When you combine that with the flexible working hours, remote working and environment that cares about professional development of an individual, you get the winning combination,” Aida Kanlic — QA Engineer at Softray Solutions.
„There are a lot of technologies in the software industry and every day something new is learned, so the work you do is always interesting. Besides, you have numerous benefits that help you better perform your job…The biggest motivation is the fact that I do a job that I love and that does not create a burden for me and at the same time provides the opportunity of promotion,” Aida Becirspahic — Software Developer at Softray Solutions.
